Our hydraulic dredging systems are designed to match the unique requirements of each project. Depending on site conditions, we utilize both floating dredges and portable trailer-mounted dredging systems, allowing us to efficiently restore everything from small backyard ponds and narrow channels to large lakes and expansive sediment removal projects. This flexibility enables us to access locations that would be difficult or impossible to reach using conventional excavation equipment.
The dredging process works by pumping accumulated sediment as a water-based slurry through a pipeline to geotextile dewatering tubes located in a carefully selected staging area. These high-strength, permeable tubes retain the sediment while allowing clean water to drain and be safely returned to the lake or pond. Once the material has fully dewatered, the sediment is removed from the tubes and disposed of or beneficially reused in accordance with project requirements.
Because hydraulic dredging is performed from the water or shoreline with lightweight, portable equipment, it minimizes impacts to surrounding landscapes while preserving mature trees, lawns, wetlands, and other sensitive shoreline features. Every project is carefully planned to maximize restoration benefits while minimizing disruption to your property and the surrounding environment.
Successful dredging projects begin long before equipment arrives on site. Navigating environmental permits, regulatory reviews, and agency requirements can be complex, but our experienced team is here to guide you through every step of the process. From site assessments and project design to permit preparation, agency coordination, construction, and final site restoration, we provide comprehensive support to ensure your project is completed efficiently, responsibly, and in full compliance with applicable regulations.
